My son informed me this week that his 1st grade glass will be hatching eggs. "Ben's mom" brought the eggs in yesterday and I guess they are going into the incubator today. This will be the 3rd time my son has hatched chicks in school. With all his experience I'm thinking he may be better at than me by the time I'm ready to hatch our own!

I wish my kids school would do this. Maybe I will have a talk with one of the teachers and convince them.

Maybe, maybe not. Take heart. 1st year coyotes are transient, as they leave their parents territory and search for their own. Their parents will keep the original territory, and as they are getting ready to have new pups, maybe the one you saw was just passing through. Trying to stay optimistic!!

This mean lady wouldn't let me see whats under her. Luckily I was wearing a coat when she bit at my arm! I told her fine keep them! I'm sure she don't have many eggs under her since this nesting box rarely gets used. Whatever makes her happy I guess!

Hi guys!

First time chicken owner here in Avon, NY (20 min south of Rochester, NY). I've been begging the husband for 6 years now and he finally caved in after we started to eat over 2 dozen eggs a week from store bought junk. Yippy!

Our 6 Sex Link chicks are 3-4 weeks old now, I just finished our Dutch Hollow Hoop Coop and I'm waiting for warm weather and the chicks to grow up. I jumped in cold footed so hoping to pick brains along the way as I get stuck.
