NY chicken lover!!!!

Going to be putting my little county boy chicks outside in the growout coop tomorrow.. YAY! no more house chicks. I now have two crowing, and one is the little runty peanut butter \clone. :) If anyone is interested in a baby roo in a few weeks let me know. I will probably just keep one bantam roo and maybe one LF but should have at least three more. They are gonna be gorgeous so I'll post pics when I can! :) (Free, but you have to come get them lol).

A mini Peanut Butter clone ... how cute he must be, because that roo is drop-dead gorgeous in my opinion! You should call him "Resee's Pieces". haha! Can't wait to see pics. It's supposed to warm up significantly over the next few days, so it's probably a great time to get the youngsters outside! Good luck!

I'm sorry Rancher to hear of the troubles with moving...where in Canada would your son be moving? I'm actually originally from Ottawa Canada (getting my US Citizenship next Friday!!!). I know it's tough...my parents went through the same thing about 15 years ago only in reverse. My dad moved to Florida while my mom was back in Canada with my sister and I trying to sell the house. It's not easy but prayers coming your way!!

Ottawa.....probably my favorite city, ever. We get up there most every year for Winterlude, though we missed this past year, as well as ice fishing with friends from Stittsville. I have a cottage near Westport, Ontario. Do you get back up to Canada much?

FOR CASS: Sooooo glad the teachers decided to give the eggs the benefit of the doubt! How many days left 'til hatch?

I LOVE Winterlude, the ice sculptures are incredible. I try to get up there fairly regularly but since I've been trying to get my Citizenship I haven't been up there for awhile. I already applied for citizenship once and they denied me because I was outside the US 27 days longer than I'm allowed to be in a 5 year period of time (I went to University in Ottawa). So I haven't been able to go up there...I hope I can soon. My grandparets still live up there and I haven't been able to see them in over 6 months...
Westport is gorgeous, we used to have a cottage in Perth.

I will buy some back. My hatch rates are really low right now and will need some more roos for breeding this fall. Let me know when you will have some to sell.

Yaaaay!!! My County Boy Peanutbutter clone is still inside, I'll keep him with his girls until they're all feathered out. The girls are 2 weeks behind him, I don't think he minds. Haaa

First groups should hatch on Wednesday. Second group a week from Wednesday. So next Friday I may be eyeball deep in chicks. (keeping my fingers crossed) I am seriously considering taking 2 boxes with me and sort out who I want to keep and who I will give away as I put them in the box from the 'bator (or where ever I find them housed when I get there) I have a kick-*** (I put the stars in to save the software time. LOL) brooder box that has a divider in it, so I can put the ones I want on one side the freebies on the other and they can still see each other. *Note to self- If this plan is to work need another brooder light (which will be needed in coop anyway if ray throws them out of the house a week later. LOL)
