I'm not really a project kinda farmer "yet"...ha!! I've got a little bit of everything in my flock, so he should have a variety to choose from. I appreciate the offer, I like to get them when they're babies so they adapt to the activity level and the dog being around over here. Ill keep it in mind, if my mystery Chix turn out to be Roo's I may have 2 empty spots to fill!! Haaaa...Thanx for thinking of him~!~

I can't wait at all!!!! One of the LF roos my uncle wants so he will get on of them. The rest you give me will stay around until fall or longer when I decide who to keep around for next years breeding. I can almost guarantee they will be gorgeous. I have 2 new little Peanut Butter baby roos. They are also runty but he also was at that age and now he has the best type in Bantam Cochins I own. One of those little boys is white with a very faded yellow tint.

How many eggs do you have under hens right now? If you have more than a couple split them up between the broody hens so they each get to hatch one or two chicks....break their brood sooner and you still wind up with the same number of chicks.

Well I had to pull and toss better than a dozen EE eggs as the BR broke and is brooding one chick. I'd already give a bunch to another two hens. They're on a total of 6. All EE's.

Now it looks as though the lone BM hen got into her sisters nest box and broke one of the BR eggs soooo.............I had to pull all of them and toss them. Now I'm thinking of places I can stick the BM, RIR and Sussex hen where they will not be bothered by a laying hen. The plan is to put them all will BR eggs.

I've got plenty of EE , BM and Del chicks. 18 total, and that's after giving away 18 this am.
