NY chicken lover!!!!

I have difficulty posting pictures as well, but it takes my son about 90 seconds to do it.......Most of my problem is I resist technology........and can't retain how he does it.....(or maybe my brain is full and can't take in more instruction.......

edited to say, that Stoney, the little photo box works well enough, but I can never figure out how to import them from my computer...AAUUGGHH!!  I suppose If I did it more often I would retain the ability to do it.....

To make it easier make a folder on your desktop I named mine ipadpics. Then all you have to do is in the left row after clicking upload is click desktop, go to next row scroll to your folder and open it. When mine opens it is just names so I right click just to the right of the names in that row. Mouse over view and then select the pic size is easiest for you I use extra large icons. Then just click the pic you want and hit open. To open multi pics hold " ctrl " on your keyboard and click all the pics you want loaded and then hit open. Once the next window uploads your pics hit submit. Just make sure they are done uploading by the grey bar at the top of that window. It will also tell you how many are uploaded directly under the grey bar.

Hope this helps if so print it and keep next to comp.

Quote: I agree with that. Everyone does things their way, it works or it doesn't. We have our opinions about what works best for us. I don't think this is a debate, just people saying what they do & what they think. Everyone should take what they read with a grain of salt, & then decide for themselves.

My dog is well behaved! .... of course she only gets her nails clipped and then everyone loves her because she was polite and has short fur that they don't have to trim.
Do you brood them inside?  I swear I am going to start a business of brooding chicks inside for all the people who say they hate it.  I absolutely LOVED it!  I love all the little sounds they make, and holding them.  I can hardly wait for the next time I have a batch of chicks to brood.
Chickens, not ducklings.
Ducklings smell like farts and are messy.  Their cuteness increases a GREAT deal when they go outside.

Yes I brood them inside, If my basement and attic we're finished I'd be fine. But I'm not quite there in the home improvements yet, finishing up my backyard. Most cats n dogs are good, I just get the harder ones cuz I got patients. That and I'm heavily into understanding animals behaviors so that helps a lot!

Nasty stinkin rain today. Windy and wet.

Mowed the back chicken yard and birds don't even have enough sense to run when the mower turns on. All under my feet. They are just too comfortable when I'm around.

While I can't pick them up they have no problem coming for corn. Even the chicks in the coop have learned who it is that feeds them.

I do need some advice on how to keep the mother hen from scratching and knocking over the water dish though. Stupid bird. I have to stand there and shoo her away while the little bits drink.

I'm back on crutches and it sucks. I went out to the coop to try and clean up a little but it's too painful. All this down time has resulted in my completion of the incubator and nearly getting the temp and humidity regulated! yay!

My momma was doing the same thing. Water & food....................... finally I took the chicks from her & put them in a brooder. No more mess !! & Momma is back with the flock.

I let momma keep them for 10 days, I think that was a BIG mistake, they are skittish, wild little creatures. They've been in the house in the brooder for 2 days now and seem to be getting a bit better with being handled.
