NY chicken lover!!!!

Thats the problem I'm having with mine. I wish they would just go into their coop like the chickens but they don't yet. I'm hoping one day they'll get it. But for now I have to extend the pen and steer them into it.
only feed them at night 20 to 30 minutes before you lock them up and near the coop

Thats actually what I have been doing to try to coax them into their coop. LOL I'm hoping they catch on. But yea, now that they're free ranging, and catching all my flies I have around here, I dont feed them nearly as much as I used to. So they get feed before bed and the rest is on them to find.

Aaahhhh duck secrets....thanks.
And if you DO decide to get some, I would get some Indian Runners from Stony. I may swipe some from him if I end up moving back that way.

ChickPrincess Sorry you lost your baby. Good luck on the new eggs.

Stony sorry about the tables but those ducks are adorable.

Tab you need to slow down and relax a little if that belly is tightening and your back is hurting it is telling you realx for a little bit.

I have been busy took son to dentist yesterday and came home to a little Pittbull puppy in my yard went up and down the road trying to find owners and looked on craigslist so I ended up bringing it in but it definitely was not used to being in a crate cried all night finally this morning someone posted they were missing one and it was her picture she live off of my road so was kinda glad to be giving it back but now everyone including the hubby is missing it. Told them I would think about another dog.

I have some eggs that are on day 2 of Lockdown here’s hoping that I get some babies first time I have ever tried to hatch anything. I keep going out and looking in the window of the Brinsea to see if I can see anything but nothing yet did candle them just before lockdown they all looked good except cracked egg started to smell so pulled it out and got rid of it. Had a small little baby in it that wasn’t fully formed.

How old do the ducks have to be before I can let them out? I am not even sure what I have here the Amish said they were from different ducks they took a few babies from different mommas and that they were 2-3 weeks old. They are adorable but they definitely are messy although got it down to changing bedding only once a day am using a milk jug waterer that sits in a pan.

Evening all! I came home tonight and found 5 bouncing baby silkies under eowyn. Adorable! I had to pull her out and clean the pox off her eyes so she could open them and see her babies. She was too cute, calling to them and drinking and eating and showing them where water was. I think she will be a good mommy. I will post pics tomorrow when I get home from work.

Nice duck pics stony!

Lynzi---nice family pic!
