Rude people come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Some are rude because they are having a bad day, some are just mean and never think to be polite. I find that older people just become more of what they were when they were young. If they were rude when they were young they are worse when they are old. If they were sweet when they were young they will make you diabetic when they are old, with their sweetness. But the world is getting ruder. Everyone is on their own mission in life and if you get in the way of that mission they bowl you over. (or run you over if you are trying to cross a street.)

That's what I like about our picnic. We get to see and know each other, so the rudeness factor of inpersonal internet interaction diminishes.....Tab's Chicken Obsession is now Tab, with 3 wonderful girls, a great chicken layout and a helpful husband. (Who never gets to use the computer of late, what's with that Tab? LOL) And now that I know her face and her family, I can't be rude to her....she's no longer just "someone online", she's real. And Stony is just as informative and funny in person as he is on here. And Featherz is great. (Hope she makes the picnic this year)

I have tried to interact on other forums right here at BYC. (Talk about rude!) I don't bother any more. I just come here and chat with you folks.....cuz this thread is the best one on BYC.

Welcome to the newbies on this thread and BYC. I think you'll like it here. We don't bite, but we will enable you to find a place in your heart (and home) for more birds. We aren't picky what kind right now, but many are leaning more toward ducks of late. LOL And that's what is great about this thread, no one will throw you off if you ask about something other than chickens. Ducks, geese, horses and children have all been discussed at one time or another.

Luvmychicks they are good size. One looks to be a Cayuga mix maybe and the other is gray w Indian runner we believe. They hatched at the school in June. I only see drake feather on the Cayuga one but mom thinks they are both drakes.
My car caught on fire Christmas day so I don't have a vehicle to go get you pics right now.
They live w over a dozen of call ducks, in a big open pen and wing is clipped. They haven't seen any chickens.

I think what you say about old people might be true. One reason for me to work extra hard at being nice. I do try you know.
