Anyone have any experiences with Stack Veterinary in Fayetteville? Positive or negative. PM me please.

Why for you ask? I started taking my cats to Lyncourt Animal Hospital. after being advised by Kay, of the Cat Coalition. What I like is they're a no pressure place. Poor Merlin, his surgery would have cost an arm and a leg. No guarantees his tumor wouldn't come back so when I said to put him down they were very understanding.

DO NOT go to Town and Country.

Welcome! Not sure how many others out that way have Silkies but ke5hde and I raise them. We're in the Tully/Lafayette area which isn't too far from you. Egg production is slow right now but will probably pick up in the spring sometime.

Tully's good! It's always nice to have an excuse to get away from the Boonies and travel to the "big city"! We're not in a rush, we were thinking about waiting to see if we have hens, and maybe sneaking an egg under it and see if it can hatch it. How about incubating the egg for a couple weeks then placing it under the hen. She would think she did a really good job hatching in only a week!

She would feel like Super hen!

Been there, done that. I've had girls go broody half way through incubation and given them eggs. No problems there. This time was the opposite, the lavender was sitting on 2 eggs in my office and I've swapped them out for chicks. She's a very happy camper with 7 under her so far.

I have used Chittenango for about 16+ yrs love them. I have had sick dogs, one with bone cancer and one was epileptic for 4+. they cared about what I was going thru as well at what the dogs were dealing with. I had a cat hit buy a car and took it to the er on bridge street. They charged me $600 to tell me my cat had a broken leg. The gave me and estimate for $2800 to fix it. Chittenango fixed the leg and hernia for less $600. I would drive from Pennellville to use them, when I was living out there.
both times I put my dogs to sleep the drs were lying right there on the floor with us in tears. Some may think that is unprofessional.... nope that's compassion.

Is that the pic of her on the previous post? My Goodness, she is so lovely! How beautiful! Wow, we are really hoping that ours are hens.

May I ask, how old is she? If we have a hen is she likely to go "broody" by summer? You have beautiful birds!

We did. They are not cat people. I was told that it was caught on one chart, that the Customer was "crazy cat lady". I also was told that the Doc was not a cat person. He preferred dogs or was it horses. I don't remember.

The coalition recommended Lyncourt so that's where we went. Some folks really hate cats.

Now I did have one funny incident where we took two young cats to get them fixed for my son who was moving away. Took them for the pre surgery examine/blood work and was told they were one male and one female. When I picked them up after the surgery, I was told they were BOTH females. Now did they check them the first time or just take my money? I suppose they could have just done the blood work. I wasn't charged the difference but I never went there again. That was the " Cats Only" vet.

We all have our preferences, and that's okay.

Yup that's her. I can't take any credit for her though, she came from Lindsay.
You can never tell when or if they'll go broody. There's a good chance if it's a silkie it'll be broody though.
