NY chicken lover!!!!

We have a large black (poultry unit) that we fill with water....and we have an olf fashioned
cylindar electric unit. The container is LARGE and holds enough water for 3 days for 10 chickens. AND IT NEVER FREEZES.

In the addition to the 21% proterin Agway Feed with give scratch and greens. Greems that
we eat. The trimmings, carrots peel, etc.

Our chickens are layiing fine 3 - 4 -5 eggs daily. Life is good. Regards, Aria

Here's the link to a video I made this morning of one of my eggs wiggling around.

Nice video!

I think I need some kind of support group. I've been in and out of the coops about 20 times today. I'm waiting for eggs. Not just any eggs but specific ones. I'm waiting for one more silkie egg and finally got my last blue mottled cochin egg a few minutes ago.
I have 19 barnie eggs, 3 of my first cross for blue mottled cochins, 3 splash silkies and 3 black silkies. I need one more and I hoping for another splash.
I've definitely got my exercise for the day.

Celiac disease in it's simplest definition, it appears, would be an aversion/sensitivity to gluten. However if other manifestations are present it could be something more.
If present with arthritis, it could be a seronegative, autoimmune disease.
Even if it's present by itself, remember that SLE (Lupus) is the "great imitator", or consider Crohn's, so it may be prudent to have a panel of seronegative tests run, even just to rule out an autoimmune process.
The usual seronegative test is for HLA-B27, often used to rule but rheumatoid arthritis, but there are more seronegative markers that are traced to various autoimmune conditions.

On an aside note, it's disappointing that animal research is biased and studies are unreliable. One would think, with colleges like Cornell, that animal research would be unbiased, that's too bad. Oh well, we'll just have to stick with the people studies for now.

ahhh....if the one on the right is the daughter, nope, not gonna be big like momma.  That's a Sumatra and it will never get as big as the lav.   But she can dream big.

I don't have Sumatras...that is Stella and Gru's daughter, she's going to be a big 'ol Orp! Lol
