Here is the young Lady TT .as it is her 1st time I am wondering will she go more than 21 days ?
She has been broody for a few days before I gave her real eggs ..
shes only getting 2 to see how she does with them .
1)see if they hatch ? 2) can she protect them ?

They tend to attack me if I get too close to their babies. I like that in a mama chicken

( they are safer that way )
So are you and your wife going to come to the picnic ? on may 17th ?

I got the eggies - mine were also flat on top ... and I just can't get eggs to hard boil even with these training wheels ....they came out over done and then underdone .... I'm sure it is my fault.

My issue is that I can't (won't) just stay in the kitchen and time things - I want it to boil for a while - then let me toss it in cool water and come back to shell when I darn well please - and I always loose most of the white part when I peel .... even when I use older eggs.

I wish I could get this to work without having to be right there at the right second ... I fly to job to job and project to project and just am not that precise in my home cooking .... chili is great for me.

This is what I use to hard boil eggs. I wish it dinged tho because I also tend to walk away from them

but what about peeling them without wasting half the darn egg and having mostly just the yoke to eat ?

To make the white separate more easily from the shell, when you put the eggs in cold water after cooking, crack all the shells. I usually just bang them on the counter until the shell is cracked inn a few places then put inn the cold water. This helps the water to get into that layer between the shell and the egg white. The best way I've found to cook them is to put the eggs in the pan inn cold water, bring the water to a boil. turn off the heat for 10 minutes. Then soak in the cold water. I donn't get that green ring around the yolk that way. Must nicer to eat without the green.
