NY chicken lover!!!!

Just got in from the first shovel session. It is miserable out there. Ducks seem to be loving it tho. Walking around everywhere, snow on their backs...
Haven't heard from DH so I'm sure the restaurant isn't closing down today. Can't even imagine what it looks like in the city right now.

I like this dude ! He has got Attitude ! It sounds like you got nice new blood .
Is this bunch all related to each other ? But not related to the 1st ones you Got ?
The two smaller ones are, the little sizzle cockerel and smooth splash pullet. But the rest are not. Not quite sure how I'm going to divide up my breeding pens yet.

what restaurant is that?

Just came in from snow blowing. Not easy since there is mud on the bottom. Muddled through it though. Did just enough to get to the coops. Chickens without runs will stay in but the door is open if they want to go out. I'm worried I won't have enough gas. I forgot to get some.

Dino...
Just shoveled a path out to my shed. Everyone seems to be getting along nicely. The mottled roo was being a little terror when he first arrived but I held him upside down by his feet and had nice little chat with him. He hasn't bothered a sole since. Wish I hadn't gotten so many roos but she didn't want to separate the last pair I added (the silkie/cochin corsses) because they were bonded. I really didn't care for the mottled one. Now that I've seen him he is beautiful and he is definitely bonded to that hen! They're in there laying together in the corner of the shed. He follows her everywhere. If she eats, so does he, if she drinks, he's right there with her. Now she's resting and sure enough, so is he! Can't get rid him now!

I'm really worried about the temp/water in my Brinsea and I'm not sure what to do for the next three days of lockdown, need some advice.
I've been doing a dry hatch this time around and everything is going great. I added a tiny bit of water to the well today before lockdown and it's already up to 70% humidity so I don't want to add anymore. However, I'm afraid because there is so little in there that it's going to dry out quickly and I'll have to add more tomorrow and the next day. I don't know if I should fill half the well and see how high it gets, see if it possibly comes down a little? I just don't want to have to open the bator tomorrow and Friday to add more water. What do I do?!?!? I'm just really surprised that this little amount of water is bringing the humidity to 70%.

If I remember right... if they are Brother & Sister your not supposed to breed those 2 together

Right

I actually just contacted the girl I got them from because now that I think about it. I think they CAN be bred together because these were hatched from eggs that she purchased from Sheri. I'm sure Sheri keeps more than just one hen in with a roo in her breeding pens. So chances are the two could be bred together.
