Hi everyone! And welcome to all the newbies. I've had fun catching up on all these posts and enjoy hearing about all your adventures :)

I have a question concerning my four-week-old Australorp bantam pullet:
She's always had less feathers than her companions (all of which are different breeds) and she's not half as active, but she seems pretty healthy overall- eating, drinking, that sort of thing. But just the other day I noticed that she has two naked pits on either side of her neck, and the one on the right has two little lumps under the skin that I can move around with my finger. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, so should I be worried or not?

Good news! Shortly after my last post saying that I had pips, one of the eggs I didnt see pips on hatched out! I have a new beautiful blue silkie! I am hoping that by tomorrow morining I will have lots of new babies. I congratulated Little Man on becoming a daddy but he just gave me the stink eye and went to bed. Keep your fingers crossed that the rest hatch!

Are you talking about her ear ? Is this on her head or her neck .?
Got a pic ?

Good luck on the hatch! Right now i'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to chickenstock after all or not. I'm having a hard time finding a new job so it all depends on that. I'm also still trying to decide on which egg chickens I want to get when mom orders the meat chickens (told her i would take care of the meaties if she gets me a few more egg hens haha) I think it will depend on the bantams, I want to see what genders I got because if I have a male then that means i'm going to try and hatch and I dont want to get over run.
