I saw on news that things like Netflix and "premium" will be same speed as any other everyone was mad about it

Sorry your having problems. I feel bad because I always say go to twc and I know I've told people on here to do so. The only problem is each area is different servers and are ran differently. If in a few days they cant get it fixed or are working too slow threaten to go to back to Verizon.

I went to the Broome County Fair last night (Thursday). The 4-H barns were always packed with animals in prior years. This year there was 8 tables of meat birds, a few tables of rabbits, just 5 regular chickens (Light Cochin bantam pair, buff Cochin bantam hen, bantam Serama roo, and 1 other). Very few pigs, goats, sheep. Even the horse barn had half the stalls empty. Going to inquire if most of the small livestock left after showing on Wednesday, or if turnout is really that low. I showed horses down there many years and the barns were always packed with a wide variety at least through Friday or Saturday afternoon.
Cattle barns were filled again, always surprised to see new farms coming in each year. My brother and his fiance' are showing in the open dairy show today. Little girl has gone down to the fair almost every afternoon this week. Thinking maybe next year she can get into showing, take some of my chickens down. They'd look a heck of a lot better than the fat lazy meat birds. Anyone know what the minimum (Child) age is for 4-H with chickens? For horses it was 6 years old to be a Cloverbud. Little girl just turned 4.

We were just talking to someone about the poultry shown for 4Her's this year. I was told many of the 4h groups did meat birds a way to generate funds for the groups. The birds are sold off at the end of the fair and the money goes to the 4h groups. Our discussion was actually centered on the Broome County fair.

They checked my speed and it's what this package allows but it's way to slow. I don't know why anyone would even offer this speed except to scam people into switching.

We pay for the higher speed. We got a package for phone and internet, no cable for I think $53. We use an antenna and down load from the internet.

Travis usually handles the internet and gadget stuff for the house.

The speed that comes with this package is about 3.25, but it's not realistic to even offer such a speed because it's not fast enough for CBS commercials let alone gaming. I'm only faulting TW because they use this as a draw to keep the price low. It's just not right.

What's more their $14.99 a month is no different than any other provider. It's the same 3.25mb. This is a speed that should be outlawed. They shouldn't even offer this. We only have the one computer.

Have to agree there's a lot of junk channels, here we can only get two channels with antenna. Rancher have you updated your computer and cleaned out the trash and cookies if your wifi get pass word protected maybe your getting jacked.

One thing I'd like to see at these fairs is cows other than Holsteins.

In other news. DD is here from TX and I got DW to go with her and run some errands. DW doesn't go out much. Not even out to sit in the yard. It was nice and breezy yesterday.

Spent some time breaking up and burning some of the smaller branches all over the yard from the storm. Still lots left. Anyone needs burning wood, stop on by. I'll be buying a chainsaw for sure.

Gave away about 9 young'uns today. Glad they're gone. She was someone who's taken chicks before. I've learned you've got to hatch and raise a lot of chicks to have enough to choose from if you're working to improve a breed. Should just chuck them all and start with easier breeds like solid colors. I always have to do things the hard way.

Should just get some Buckeyes, Buff Orps and go with those. Even a solid color marans would be better than Birchens. I do like the size of the Columbian rocks though. Now if I can keep them as big as the first three hens.

Nutty how are your chicks doing? How are the ducks. Any eggs yet?

Lost the little one that was not thriving but had another BM born. This one is in the brooder with an older one. I hope does okay there. I've gotten good at noticing some chicks are just not right, but I like to give them a chance. Even though it was older it was still much smaller than the later born one.

Still have hens sitting but will pull eggs soon. To many EE eggs in there. Of course any pullets born would be Olive eggers. I should just pull those.

Well if you're speed is good and your total is $54 that's better than the $77 we were paying for phone and internet from Verizon.

I switched us because Verizon internet kept going out. With the antennae our TV kept going in and out and driving us crazy. The phone was staticy too sometimes.

I'd called Verizon more than once. Their recording would lie and say the problem was inside the house. I know because I bought new wire and a new box and reran everything. Then the recording would still say it's in the house. I'd had enough of their customer service balonie.

I will say with TW we do have cable to two televisions but only one box.

Nice day today. Everyone was so happy to get out for the day. When the run gate opened they shot out of there ad ran to the hill. I love to see my yard covered with chicken and ducks.

The Little Chick that Could is doing so much better. I have had a little hobble on it all most all the time.Yesterday I took it off and it is doing so much better! It stands almost perfect. The one leg still is a little behind the other but man can it run around. It is fast. The last of my eggs in the incubator hatched. I had a blue Orp hatch out good, but the lavender one that hatched this morning didn't make it.

I think that 3 out of the original 16 eggs for my first time ever hatching in an incubator let alone in a home made $20 incubator is pretty good. There was a few times that for I thought for sure I had cooked them, but these 3 were fighters to the end!

Anyone have any idea what color the sizzles are going to be? The mother is a White Silkie (Thank you Horsekeeper) and the father is a Black Frizzle (thanks ke5hde). I can't wait till their feathers all come in. They hatched with their wing pin feathers coming in white. I'm not going to hatch anymore in the bator this year unless I come across some Magpie duck eggs...But I do have 8 eggs under my frizzle and silkie hens. There is another sizzle egg and the rest are silver laced cochin eggs..can't wait...then that will be it for hatching for the year for me.

Been working on my coop, my bigger girls are gonna be happy when thats done I bet. Right now the 8 of them spend the day in a 3'x9' run, and at night they have about 12' square foot of floor space in a wooden crate thats maybe 2 feet high. not ideal, but they are thriving. They are 9 weeks old on monday. the 5 little ones (3 weeks old) are doing good, although my lone columbian wyandotte is smaller than the 4 gold laced wyandottes. shes had a rough go of it, her 3 fellow columbians died, and now shes in a box with 4 slightly larger birds.
