NY chicken lover!!!!

Anyone who's got free time and is interested in watching some potential chicken history (recap about agricultural ban citing here):

CITY HALL:
13 West Oneida St.
Oswego, NY (that city that used to make "weird law" lists for its recently removed explicit chicken ban)
7:00-7:15pm

At least one of us'll be there, though I might get stuck dogsitting.
WHAT DAY ?

Pyxis--Happy belated birthday!

Bakerz--Congrats on your first broody hatch! Good luck to your husband.

I make fried rice and love it. I use bacon to oil the pan then add veggies to soften then add rice for a bit before the egg. I buy ends and pieces of bacon and chop it before frying. Seasoning I use is called pinch by salameidas, i can only find it endicott/binghamton way.

DH and I finally rearranged and separated birds last night for breeding. I have 2 OE pens set up frizzle NN and one basic with majority showing blue and cuckoo coloring (no NN or frizzle I plan on adding my frizzle NN roo back in later in the spring). Then we have golden cuckoo marans, BLRW, del cornish X, mixed layers, and cochins. I'm looking forward to hatching.

Got five eggs today from all my five chickens old enough to lay! All mini eggs from silkies, seramas and Cochin. I love the bantams but I'm thinking of just sticking with silkies as my bantam breed and maybe breed them. I need more room for large fowl as I only have 2 and a polish but I don't think she counts :p. Thinking of selling the Cochin and seramas...

This spring we are expanding the coop and run! And I can't believe it was my DHs suggestion lol

I am in a pickle... I love my DH to pieces but I sent him for chicken feed 200lbs mind you to get us through his surgery and recuperation time and he came home with 200#'s of scratch. Instead of feed.
Is there any way to up the protein enough to feed it.
I'm going to have to go out hopefully with my daughter to get new feed.
But what the fudge am I supposed to do with 200#'s of scratch???

Yay! I'm narrowing my breed plans too. I'll have an Olive Egger/Easter Egger pen and a Brabanter pen. Luckily a majority of my current flock fits in the OE/EE group.
