Was there to day and got the new issue. Previous issues have had good recipes. I've typed them up and saved them.

Only had CX for chicks. Had to use my 10% off coupon. Not much I needed though, did get some chick starter and an early Christmas present. They had some nice toys in the clearance aisle.

I'm still bummed about not many hatching this time round. Mainly because of the wasted eggs.

I've got to run another bunch as Frenchy is laying. I can't believe she is laying at her age.

I got a second incubator. Somehow the first one is still working and has some NN I purchased and a few of my own Mille mix, all due the sixteenth. So after letting the new one run for four days to see how it works and all that, I put another half dozen Mille mix in it today. No point in letting it run for nothing. Was able to find homes for all my chicks I hatched last week except two. Incubating is addicting.

Incubating is so addicting! Just put in eggs today- isbars, 2 black ameraucana and chocolate green eggers. Just found homes for all the chicks I'm not keeping today. They went quick!

Yea guess I got carried away with the Easter HAL judging by the shocked look on DHs face when he saw all the empty egg cartons on the table..next to another bator (from the attic, least I didn't buy it!)

I had no plans to be a part of the Easter HAL, but let myself get caught up in an egg auction (I really need to stay away from auctions). Since my main incubator is full for a test hatch set last week, I had to fire up a second bator for the HAL eggs. Now there's room for a bunch of eggs from my girls and I'm trying to resist the urge to fill every slot, lol. I need more chickens like I need more holes in my head and heaven knows I've got plenty of those, lol.

Question: how come I haven't seen any Turkeys at the local feed stores, have they always not sold turkeys and I haven't noticed before? Has anyone seen them around?
