Question: how come I haven't seen any Turkeys at the local feed stores, have they always not sold turkeys and I haven't noticed before? Has anyone seen them around?

I've never seen them in the feed store bins, only chicks and ducklings. But think you can special order them.

I had no plans to be a part of the Easter HAL, but let myself get caught up in an egg auction (I really need to stay away from auctions). Since my main incubator is full for a test hatch set last week, I had to fire up a second bator for the HAL eggs. Now there's room for a bunch of eggs from my girls and I'm trying to resist the urge to fill every slot, lol. I need more chickens like I need more holes in my head and heaven knows I've got plenty of those, lol.

BYC Auctions are the best- especially with such great breeders and such cool offerings! Did you get the hona's or the isbars?

Incubating is so addicting! Just put in eggs today- isbars, 2 black ameraucana and chocolate green eggers. Just found homes for all the chicks I'm not keeping today. They went quick!

I can't wait to see those chicks...they are going to be so neat!

Over in the Easter HAL thread, someone mentioned a hatching app, Hatchabatch. Got it loaded on my iPod to play with for the hatch a long.

Ithaca Agway will have turkeys the week of May 22nd (broad breasted bronze, Royal Palm, and burbon reds). I've gotten broad breasted whites from a lady in PA (pre-order for mid May). Can pm u her info if ur interested.

I did win the honas! I got a little excited about the potential.

Very excited about hatching svarthonas. In addition to lapeerian winning isbars, akaruby won the other set of isbars. NY was very well represented in that auction.

I know that Nature berry will have some too. They are in Macedon. I picked up some ducks there. Very nice there and always has a huge selection.
