NY chicken lover!!!!

Here is my blue laced red wyandotte rooster that will be breeding with my girls. I just set my first batch of eggs in the incubator and I'm so excited! I am very new to this whole thing so we'll see.

Think that train is circling around here too. The Wyandotte eggs shipped today, but need more to fill the incubator so hopefully getting RIR from Pharm and also bid on the Americaunas. I joined that FB group Tao, wow there are some nice/pricey ones on there.
I just unfollowed the group. So much expensive eye candy on there. I didn't even know candy corn polish were a thing, much less how expensive they are. I can't afford to even watch there anymore.
That being said, it did bring to my attention some great breeders. The people I've written to have been lovely.

I think he means because he's the only duck. But since you're getting ducklings from me at Chickenstock that'll be taken care of

That's what a I meant. " One is the Loneliest Number You can Ever be, Two can be as bad as One but One is the loneliest number".

Chicks look like they're growing well. Nice variety, it'll be interesting to play the "guess what we are" once they have all their feathers!

Yes it is shingles over plywood.:D I measured, he built, I sided. And with me being 5' 3", that roof was a pain!! LOL
Welcome to the short party. There are a lot of vertically challenged ladies in here. I'm one of them

I'm one too, but in the "under 5' club"!

I spent two hours browsing that group, thinking of the hundreds of eggs I was going to hatch, and all the different breed pens if have to set up before I came to my senses.

Ducks are more hardy than chickens ..It was below 30 degrees ...and they would still go out and get in the water and be fine ..

X2!
Never saw a duck with any sort of frostbite. And if their feet get cold they sit down on them, never seen a chicken do that. :-D

I know but which breed lays as well as some chickens? I think it's the Campbells. Am I right. TSC sells them usually. Or is it another breed.
