NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi guys I'm from near fort drum... Newbie and soon to be chick AND duckling momma... Have learned a lot from this site already hence I joined... Anyone near me?
No but used drive that way on the way to Black Lake in my younger days. Well I didnt' drive my stepfather did. Before the seat belt days.

We just got power back on at 8 pm ..went out last night 12:45
Like camping in your own house ..No heat , No Elec , No Computer , We flushed toilet with water collected outside in in a barrel
Got to go out for breakfast / lunch...was able to drive by TSC ...and not stop ...
So thankful for Electricity again
Glad you and yours survived. You should have called we have two empty bedrooms upstairs.

I might end up going to the small farm and homestead fair if my sisters agree. I'm not sure what time, though.

I'll wear my Egg Carton sweat shirt or Buffalo hoody. DD is going to take me but she wants to come back early as the GD has a party to go to. I hope to get there right at 10am. Maybe my other DD will take me. I'd hate to be back before my shift (4-10pm) starts since I took the time off.
 
If anyone is interested in Silkie chicks, I have 19 eggs starting to hatch. Will have partridge, black, blue for sure and maybe other colors depending on if someone else started laying. Should be very fluffy. Here are some of the hens that made these babies. Dad is a partridge roo.

Hello and welcome. I drive right up 81 everyday for work. I live in Oswego so only about an hour away from you. I know a guy that has chickens that is in Watertown.
