Hi! We would definitely be interested in eggs or chicks. We live in Albany NY. First time chicken peeps but both my inlaws and my parents have or have had chickens. I'm trying to see how to private message you or you can pm me if you are interested. New to this message board thing! The shipping is so terrible on chicks and eggs from what we have heard we really would like to find local places to source from. We love all the local farms around Albany! Thank you!I will have eggs to hatch anytime anyone needs some. All ours are fertilized. Either pure breed BO or a BO crossed with Australorps. Figured i would offer them up in the spring when more peeps want them.
Awesome! Our girls are finally laying regularly and Charles is forever doing his roosterly duties. So when you are ready after all this snow is over (we had 100” in less than two weeks here in Oswego) we will happily share. I do this for love not money and as happy as Charles is I hope his boys are doing what they need to do to make chicks. Some will be pure Buff Orpingtons (the light brown in this picture) and others will be a cross between BO and Australorp. (Sorry for the delayed reply. We have been trying to cope with the snow.)Hi! Hello in Albany. I'm near Herkimer. You have quite a few options closer to you for breeders then I do over here. Make sure to check across state lines too! Hey Herkimer! Before moving to upstate I remarkably knew about Herkimer. One of my old chairs at the university was born and raised in Herkimer (last name Gray). We were pals so I heard all sorts of stories down to the “raise one finger off the steering wheel to say hello” as folks were driving by. Lol. The picture is looking out our back window. Nature is remarkable but frankly I need Spring now.The snow is absolutely aweful this year. Spent the last week clearing roofs in prep for the rain coming in a few days.

Has anyone had this happen ? The Rooster took off the back of her head ? She is a Spitz , (Appenzeller Spitzhauben )So she doesnt have a comb back there . I AM guessing that he grabbed her & she took off .
It happens. Just keep it clean and maybe consider ditching the roo. If this becomes his normal behavior.Has anyone had this happen ? The Rooster took off the back of her head ?
