NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi everyone, I just posted a thread about this but thought I would post here as well. My family is moving to Ithaca NY by late July to early August. The home I'm moving into will be an interim home where I cannot keep chickens, but my family will be purchasing a farm within the next year. So I'm looking for a place to board my flock temporarily.

My flocks consists of 12 chickens (seven are bantams), 3 of them roosters (two of them bantams). I would like to board them or rent some land for 3 small coops. My chickens are not free range and I would provide them with secure coops/runs, care, and maintenance.

So if anyone has a small piece of land that they would be willing to rent -- or knows someone else who does -- please let me know, I would very much appreciate it!

Hello all! I am on Long Island , Suffolk County (close to port Jefferson) and have taken on the chicken life and have really enjoyed it so far. Sadly I am in possession of two roosters I cannot keep.

They are Jersey Giants , they were part of my daughter’s class experiment. Her teacher life’s upstate and has a farm where he breeds these for meat birds. We took 3 of 8 and 2 are roosters. 3-4 weeks old right now. Wattles and comb pronounced and redder than they are tan. The female is clearly not like these two as well :)

The two are curious little buggers! Come right up to you and stare you down. Don’t really love to he held , but like to chill. One has some green showing already and may be a bit more handsome than the other lol …

Anyone on Long Island interested in re-homing these two, or one ?

Brookhaven doesn’t let resident keep roosters so would like to move them asap.

Thanks ! IMG_3036.jpeg IMG_3030.jpeg

This is Skeeter, a “Americauna” rooster from tractor supply. He’s 15 weeks old and a bit aggressive. He bit my toe when I walked in the coop and threw him self on my foot, I was bleeding. Another day he yanked on my pants and was pulling back, did it twice. He puffs up and stalks me. I don’t trust him around my kids, I can “fight him off” or use different methods to assert dominance but my 2 and 4 year old can not. I’m in Caledonia, about 30 minutes from Rochester. Any one want to give him a 2nd chance?

Hi guys! Haven't been on in ages. I'm in Wilton. Would like to rehome two reasonably friendly male geese, preferably to somewhere with female geese. :) They are about 4 years old. I can hand feed them and they ignore my husband, but you know how geese can be. Let me know -free to a good home. We are moving at some point and want the geese to be with others.

I also have three jerky red roosters if anyone wants them for any reason - they are nasty so nothing nice to say about them. :)
