Welcome Chickens14, I mean Jen.
Glad to hear that everybodys' hatches are coming along. I like the term "fuzzy butt brigade" as well. It fits. My six little chickies don't really amount to a brigade, but we're working on it.
I have my guys trained for differant weather. I say "It's raining, you're going to get wet" and they all go under the shelter. Or on a nice day I say " Go outside and play", they all march single file out the door. Until they see all the snow, that is. The first time they saw snow was funny. They all came running to the door and just froze at the threshold. It was like watching a six car pile up. I had to call and call ( with treats in my hand) until one got brave enough to take a step out. Those poor chickies looked like they were walking, well, on egg shells. The one almost fell on her face when she stretched her leg out behind her to shake the snow off of her foot.

I guess her leg wasn't long enough.
Hurry up spring is all I can say.
Sandy

love it
I had one mille fleur for some reason fly out of the coop & quite a ways from
his coop... I waited alittle bit to see what he would do and he did not move
lau.gif

I had to walk through knee high of snow to save him...

GAH! I hope he gets the generator up in time for you! I'd be panicking to beat the band. Yes I too have had quite enough of the snow machine (as I look outside and it's STILL snowing) I just want to piddle around in my garden

is that so much to ask??? My two barred rocks and Ameraucana roo will go outside, my 3 mille fleur bantams run (or fly) under the porch and squak at me. I'm almost looking forward to mud season.
