I didn't hear back from you about meeting in Morrisville. Give me a call or email and we can try to meet up another time.

Took birds to the Bridgeport auction, got there are 7:45am and the line was out to the road...I sent husband, thank goodness. He waited an hour to get in to drop off birds...I hope some of those people stayed to buy too! LOL

Ohhhh sorry!

I was on briefly yesterday but was doing some cleaning while I felt good. Have Fibro and bad Osteoarthritis so I'm on Disability (CAN"T EVEN BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED!!!!!!!) Perfectly fantastic job as an Office Administrator making SUPER GREAT MONEY - very high stress job and my body finally said ENOUGH per Doctor so here I sit making my chicken addiciton worse!

Would have loved to meet up with a bunch of you and see this swap but didn't get a chance to check back in!

Hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather - we ended up with an inch of stinking snow here at my house this morning - of course I'm up over a thousand feet so that helps ramp it up I'm afraid.

I went just to pick up chicks before the auction. Rattlesnake gulch was starting to flood on my way out there & was getting bad on my way back about an hour later. I didn't dare go back that way & all the other ways are a pain in the butt! I'm sure I'll be at the next one on the 26th.

If all goes well, I should have some BBS Orpington chicks available in a few weeks.

I set a TON of eggs today. Not even sure how many - guess I should count. Squeezed 30 into the brinsea and the rest are in my horribleator

. Will *hopefully* have Turkens, brahmas, SS, possibly australorps, mystery eggs, BLRW and maybe a few of my own mutt eggs in three weeks... Not sure what I'll do with all of these if they all hatch!!!

(I really really want those turkens!)

Also did two out of three spring cleanings on my coops. cough cough. That's a big relief, only my big coop to go.

I did deep litter all winter and amazingly enough, no smell when I cleaned it out.

At least in my area the snow is melting slowly so my sump pump can keep up.

Anyone get anything good at the auction? toooo far for me.

Was busy cleaning coops yesterday and today. Got 7 coops cleaned.

Then I had to scrape out the dirty poo sand that was down all winter. The runs look much better. All thats left is to get some more sand to dump down.

Will be setting another 18+ silkie eggs tomorrow.

Was 50 degrees out today, plus the sun was out most of the day. I think winter is finally over.

I would like to go out with bleach solution and scrub brush to clean the coops when the weather becomes good enough to have the birds out for that long. We didn't end up going to the auction today because of altered work schedules. Going to take some roos to kings auction tomorrow morning. Hopefully someone will want our roos.

One of my runs is still awful. I need to find someone to deliver a TRUCKLOAD of sand - those bags from home depot aren't cutting it with all the mud! My leghorns are embarrassingly muddy.
