Aww poor muggs. I was sick last weekend. It's going around, judging by my students.

If anyone wants any baby roos free (I don't care if you raise them to eat them), I'm just starting to be able to pick out the little roos. There's one mystery buff roo, several easter eggy looking ones and a turken or two plus at least one light brahma. 10ish I can guess are roos so far. I'm hoping to get them them to an auction next weekend, just giving the capital region folks a heads up. I know everyone needs MORE roosters!! hee hee. They'll be four weeks old next weekend.

Just finished moving two cleanout piles of pine shavings over to one big pile. Now that's busywork for ya. We're working on the run in coop and may take the cover off the pool. No, we aren't going swimming yet, but we have to get the cover off before it gets all skeetery and full o tadpoles.

No eggs today. This cold has them all fluffed up. I think their butts are frozen....I know MINE is.

I gave them yougurt with chicken food mixed in it for a treat today. I brought some chicken feed inside so I can mix it with some warm water as a treat tomorrow.

I am soooo sick. I HATE the common cold virus and it hates me right back. Where is that Nyquil? I think I'll take it NOW and sleep til Monday.

Awwww you poor babies!

Hope you all feel better and KEEP IT TO YOURSELVES!

Sorry I missed last night! Not in bed until after 1:30 am and then laid there planning the morning....10 minutes for making the bed and cleaning up the MBR, 10 min to clean up the LR, blah blah - that's part of the OCD I guess. Young couple from NJ - showed up around 10:00 am this morning and we are in the top two of their homes of preference. They are getting their "stuff" together and then we'll know something within a week or two. I was out at midnight last night planting (yes I wrote planting) one of my planters near the back gate and heard either a coyote or fox pup about 100 yds from the coops making noise - needless to say the large flashlight came on and noise was made around the coops which proceeded to drive them a bit further off. Heard lots of noises out there at that time, we have bears that cross at one end of our property and all I could do was pray that one wasn't behind me when I was working in the front gardens and planters last night

!

Talk about dark??? There are no streetlights anywhere near where I live but it makes for amazing beautiful sights at night! The Stars are almost as clear here as when I was a kid - not as much of a view of the Milky Way but I can see some of it from here.

Very, very cold here last night too! Had to cover all the plants and bring some in and the car was covered in frost last night by 1:00 am = that stunk.

YOU ALL NEED TO GET WELL!

Muggs, I emailed you back - No peonies I can split yet since these are just too young but I might have some Pentas and some others let me look into what I can split! Love gardening and will always give plants or advice whether asked for or not

I need to write more clearly! I have peonies for you if you'd like some...and bee balm...lots of bee balm! Did I mention I have bee balm? Someone gave me some purple bee balm and that sucker took off and spread EVERYWHERE!

I'm crossing my fingers for the buyers to buy your place!

If it makes you feel any better the broody got off the nest for just a moment and I spotted 3 chicks hatched and a couple more pips. They are CUTE!

Doesn't cure my cold, but it does make me feel better. Sooooon, I'll have little fuzzy butts to give my cold to. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....I have to get better soon. I can't have sneezing chicks. They aren't cute trying to hold a tissue with their wings and wiping their little beaks. Poor babies. I have to go to bed and get well soon. *sniff, sniff, cough cough*

Oh cripes, I have to go get raspberry plants tomorrow. I was just going to stay in my jammies all day. I wonder if the berry lady will notice my pants being made out of red fuzzy stuff?

Love it. It's a line from the movie Son In Law. I find myself saying it too. My friend's family is good friends with Steven Tyler...I beg them all the time to say that line to him. No one will do it.

Hi - I was sitting right up front with my son. We were on the left hand side of the room. The lecture was long, but all the kids did so well last night, I was really impressed. Got some good tips and Sue is sending me info on 4H. There were some beautiful birds in the presentation. I do really like wood ducks and manderin ducks, Austrailian Swans and Mean old Mutes.

Sorry we didn't get a chance to say Hi.

Fyrekitten: You really need to go OCD at my place.

We organize and organize and organize and when we sit down and look around, nothing is organized. Strange...... Oh well, we have mastered the "lived in" look.

Hope your place sells soon. (Ok, truth is I hope you are stuck here so we get to visit sometimes, but there I go being selfish again.) Then again - a friend in a southern state is a good thing.

Tigrlilly - the Amarecaunas are really starting to feather out well. Will have to post picks again soon.

Tim and Trish - so nice to meet you. Wish it wasn't so late and we had more time to gab. I didn't know you were working with Orpingtons, Tim. I have learned to like them more than I thought I would. Beautiful birds and so easy to get along with.

Feel better everyone.

Happy Country Hens
