Read this out loud to DD today and howled with laughter. I'm glad you managed the trip without running over anything.

Oh, and I kind of gathered that at NB the Black Queens and Red Comets (or whatever the hybrid names are they are using) are home-bred, but everything else comes from a hatchery. But I'm not 100% sure, and I'm only talking about the chickens. They may breed their own turkeys or something too for all I know.

Yeah, the cow in the road kinda threw me! Apparently there are folks as bad at building stuff as I am?

I did wonder if I had hit it if that meant I could take it home and have steaks? In hindsight, hitting a HUGE cow while 8 months pregnant probably would have been bad! I totally would have gone and knocked on someones door if I had known where it belonged, but they could be like my neighbors across the street with the "free range" horses!

I took a drive to Binghamton today and picked up my new Ameraucana Rooster and Lav hen ( Thanks Karen!) and I saw some white deer, thankfully they were safe from me behind the big metal fence at the army depot!

I did run over some metal stuffs in the road (I guess it was taller than I thought and didn't clear the undercarriage) but thankfully it shot back out about a half mile later without damaging the car or making me pull over and crawl under the car!

Some days I am like the poster child for Calamity!

LOL! Well they missed you and maybe a little off as you didn't take all of them!?..When did she start laying(orp) mine did the middle to end of August...I thought it was a Sussex egg!? My lays on the floor ...have beautiful nesting boxes...The Sussex lays on the floor also...How do I get them in the boxes...I have "eggs" in them....

As far as I can tell she started last week. 2 days ago i found a hidden pile of 4 light brownish eggs. i was like ok.... who laid these??????? it was her... we named her "madam blueberry". the big girls are finally allowing her to integrate more into the flock. they kinda banned her to the inside. but i noticed that she was getting brave and running outside this past week.

If you want a roo we do have one it placed 1st above our other 2 but michaella decided that she doesn't like it. and cant keep all 3 cockrels. We are planning on going to the syracuse show are you going????????????? the show that we went to was the northern ny poultry fanciers show in waddington. there were peeps there from the syracuse area and all over surprisingly.

I just wanted to say hello over in this section. On October 1st, my DBF and I will be living in the Catskill area. Anyone else nearby?
