Those of you north and east of us, please be careful. I am glad we are getting just rain here. (For now, anyway!)
For once in this thread, I have snow when others do not. Now that's unusual!

We have a few inches on the ground. Now there is some snow/rain/sleet coming down too. Driving the school bus was messy. Raods are a bit slick and people think they can still drive fast.In our town we have a very low train trestle. There are a couple signs and flashing lights to let tractor trailer drivers know that they WILL NOT fit under it. I have seen quite a few trailers "scalped" by that trestle. This morning to add to the chaos of the snow and slick roads a trucker missed the numerous signs stating that trailers do not fit, got stuck in traffic trying to back up 1/4 mile to where the turn is for trucks. I am in a school bus. It is a blind area under the trestle and he wants me to go around his truck so he can back up. Uh, no. I will not jeopardize the kids in my care so he dosen't get busted the the police. Waving his arms and clearly upset because I wouldn't go into oncoming traffic so he could back up. I locked the bus doors and waited for the police. Really? I know he was upset and feel for him but I will not risk crossing the double yellow on a blind turn under a train bridge.![]()
PHEW! Sorry about the rant.![]()
