Hen--its always crappy on my days off and just beautiful when I have to work as well. I feel your pain.

Country Boy--Nice chicks!

It seems that there is a coon around here that needs killing. I found my run and coop separated a bit when I went out to let out my silkies. It had to be a big coon to move them because they are very heavy. I will have my dh put up the game cam over there and see what shows up.

Put 3 dozen silkie eggs in the incubator today. May the incubator gods smile kindly on me and give me a good hatch, since my others have been so dismal!

You've got a nasty raccoon and I have a nasty fox. My chickens hate being locked up - so glad I managed to put up a huge run for them a few months ago. I just dug up a pile of sod and weeds to put in the runs for everyone. Still looking for a decent wildlife trapper since DH is not around.

Thanks! I'm not near a phone so I sent them an email. Most of the pest control places are too pricey, but always worth a free consultation. My property is literally surrounded by farmers with multiple dogs, electric fences and dogs, so if I can clear out this den (or dens) I might have a small period of time before the next fox moves in. Hopefully.

Someone on the downstate just trapped a fox that had been after her girls herself. She used a haveaheart, it looked like, She said she smeared canned dog food all over, the fox she caught was very infected with mange, which will probably wipe out the rest of the den. I didn't know mange could kill. Her name is Imperfctme, or close to that. At TSC they told me to use a slab of raw meat, and someone said to tie it in so they don't just steal it. Good luck!

My husband uses squirrel as bait for fox during trapping season. He had good luck this past winter - took out 6 from our area. Good luck.

Heres some photos. I got this in mid February, and I have about $950 into it if you dont include the $130 i paid for shipping. thats with all the extra trays and everything.

So IDK what a fair price would be for it, I dont want to ask too much as I need the money now and I cant keep it.
I would like to try to get $650

Would like cash or postal money order for it, or paypal if the person was willing to pay the extra fees, though i think if its sent as a gift there are no fees.

Like i said i have about a week until the current eggs hatch in it, then i can clean it out really well with the disinfectant for the next person.

I've been trying that but only luck with my skunk so far. I just had an idea, will set up two traps tonight and see what I get. Maybe I can get both the skunk AND a fox.

Nope. ..both traps empty, which is probably a good thing since I almost forgot to check before leaving today.. eep !
