NYC newb!

Hi. waiting anxiously for my chicks to arrive in may, hoping to absorb as much info as I can in the meantime... and maybe connect with the other NYC hen keepers
what did i get? a lavender orpington, an ameraucana, and 2 green queens. so excited!!!! so worried!!! poring over coop plans!!!

@5ChicksInTheCity is in NYC and just joined and she has a flock!
I would recommend that you try to convert a shed into a coop. It's fast and rather easy and will be much sturdier than any pre-fab you could purchase.

Thank you! I quickly decided that pre-fab wouldn't work for us especially with the weather my hens will deal with here. I am definitely weighing my options re: building from scratch or a shed conversion!
