WOW! That is so much food!! I have 75 chickens, 30 guineas, 3 turkeys, 2 ducks, an insane amount of chicks and 6 quail..... I don't even come close to that amount!!

I just had 2 OEGB hatch a few hours ago and 7 out of 12 duck eggs have pipped so far! not to mention 18 silkie eggs in lockdown with them!

The most food I go through is for the guineas, I still have them locked up in a run for now until Feb. We are NPIP and AI so they need bracelets and I didn't think I could catch them all! nobody wants to see that! I do mix their food with bird seed to help keep costs down and they are in a huge run with grass and bugs.

not to mention all of my egg layers for eating purposes are pasture raised, they eat hardly any pellets.

The 2 ducks I have were a gift, this is my first time hatching duck eggs. They were part of the NYD mystery swap. Any suggestions on brooding care? I have 7 pipped so far. I have been doing a lot of reading over the past month and I don't even know what kind they will be!!
