I have seen an ad for Mt. Healthy on BYC.. We do have local places that sell in the spring, but they want to order now. Thanks for the info.

what do they want for chickens? how many? maybe we can be of help more through BYC with breeders from here.

They have small children so they want something docile that the kids can hold. They want eggs to eat. They want something that will be easy to care for and will go in at night without a lot of work. I guess they want the perfect chicken that requires no work, cares and feeds itself and will be perfect with kids

How about some EE or Brahma or Orps? All are pretty mellow. Even our Swedish flower hen flock is very mellow and the chicks jump up on my hands when refilling the feeders.

Havent had any trouble with them going to bed as the sun sets. The Guinea fowl? well they need some encouragement.
