We here in Kansas, are in a drought. For the most part our fall has been extremely mild, but today we are to get the freezing mix. It is so windy too. My birds are all hiding from it. :) Straw is to be delivered today.

We are having chili for supper!
 
I was going to ask if hay is really expensive there, but do you even need it? Do you always have green grass? (We don't have grass for 5-6 months here.)
 
Well, my rooster is on his way to his new home. Kind of sad. I'm sure his girls are going to miss him. No more fertilized eggs for me until one of my chicks grows up... Hopefully there is at least one nice roo in the bunch!!
