Found some at our local feed store and was so excited. Then I saw the price...$16 bale...bought shavings instead...

$16 for straw? I have a barn full I am trying to give away!!

Most farm and feed stores have it for about $6.00 a bale. I happened to be there one day at out little grocery store, and spoke to a local guy that was delivering it, and he told me $4.00 a bale and he would deliver. Just in time today. I am sure my chickens will appreciate it. Gonna use 8 of the bales for a "straw bale" dog house. Then in the Spring, I will use them for a "straw bale" garden.
