I had one that looked like this at birth. She was the biggest one in the NICU, we were very lucky to get to take her home after just 4 days..although, they were the longest 4 days of my life. So many other families are not that fortunate and I found myself again and again thinking of them. Families like yours that have a child's illness follow them through life. My heart goes out to youI had forgotten how tiny he was when he was born , they grow so fast.
What a rough time for your family, and so happy things are much better!We only stayed in the NICU 5 days , He was the second biggest at 6 pounds 3 ounces . We got released friday , spent the weekend with friends and family and went to a "regular" check up on the following monday and ended up back in the hospital for a week local this time
he was released and a week later we were back in portland for 3 days then he was relased and within a few days was back in the hosptal for a couople days. 4 hopitalzations his first month poor guy . More then 2 dozen hospitalazations in 3 differnt hospitals , almost a dozen specialists , 4 surgries all befor his 3rd birthday. He is doing much better now and the Light of my life .
