My friend lost one of his quail yesterday, it flew out of a cardboard box that it was being transported in. He just told me.

The quail he lost is a good flyer, but scared of humans. Tibetan. Any ideas how for him to get it back?(It's almost nighttime where I live.)

I told him to put a male into a cage by himself, to get him to crow and attract her back.

Lol, same thing just happened to me................sadly it did not turn out so well My cat found the quail before I did. Try a small live trap (one designed for mice or rats) filled with food.

Leave a light on once it gets dark, something that shines brightly but won't run out of batteries. He might see it and come back. But like what @AltonaAcres said, it may not work

Well, if it's antisocial I would take @AltonaAcres advice and put some food in a live trap for it.

Food. Food is almost always the best chance of a lure for recaptures on most animals. (But technically I haven't ever raised quail myself.)
