Well we had a chicken coyote masacre this past weekend leaving me with about a quarter of my flock left. Then this past thursday we went to pick up ducks at ridgeway hatchery in larue ohio. My husband and i were disgusted by this place. I will NEVER do business with them again. it looked like someone took a run down shack and threw in incubators! WAS HORRID! My husband decided to rescue 25 pullets from them (ie buy) well as of today all but three have died! i have NEVER had this much death from pullets in my years as a farmer! I am so disheartened at this point.

You should tell the authorities, chickens should have rights if dogs and cats do against cruelty

Don't quit but also don't let this opportunity pass you by to tell people the conditions of that hatchery. HORRIBLE!

There are some good people here. If you need help replenishing your flock, someone in your area might have something.

my husband already sent them a VERY lenghty e-mail. I just could not get over the condition of the place! Wonder how long ago their certs were rcvd!

I agree contact your local humane society or animal control! These people should treat any animal like that!

I just picked up 17 guinea keets from Ridgeway this morning and have already lost 6!!! I am so ticked off with them!
