O my lord... I have nothing else to say... Chicken an turkey injurie *GRAHPIC TO THE MAX*!!!!!!

Yes he does but with a special extra protein powdered blended into the feed!
Yes your right he will have a great life!! Full if fun till thanksgiving!!!
An yes I keep him with the chickens!
But the ONLY reason I do is because the coop is on a sand mound an the run floor is a Georgia clay like substance so he doesn't come in contact with the "native ground" because of blackhead disease!
( but he does come in contact with the ground when I let him out to play in the grass an dirt because I'm pretty sure that there is not blackhead disease in my soil sence we have native turkeys without the disease (knock on wood for no jinks) )

I'm so glad to hear you found a solution- good call on the roost in the main run. My EE's roost outdoors this time of year anyway (in a protected run). I'm sure they'll be fine. You might have to wait a long time to introduce the chick to them though- like long enough for them to forget that the coop is where they used to sleep. :)

That's a lovely set-up you have! It's wonderful that your parents are supportive of poultry keeping- I had to wait until I bought my own house. ha
