Oat Hay pasture okay for Ducks?

Hello!
I have 10 ducklings that we want to put out on our pasture to graze during the day. They are 3 weeks old now but HUGE And need more space. We are currently working on their Duck tractor. We also will have a duck house and small yard for them.
my question is... is it okay for ducks to eat fresh growing oat hay? Thats what our pasture is.We bought it a few months back and it was used to grow oat hay for feed. I also have them on Scratch and Peck starter right now. Thanks!

Hello Jennylime Welcome to BYC. Are you new to raising ducks? To answer your question yes it would be ok for them to forage around and eat fresh growing oat hay.

I can understanding needing more room because they do grow quick. In your brief post without knowing more details, I would not turn them loose for all day unless supervised, what about predators? Three weeks old regardless of their physical size they are still babies.

Do you have any pictures ? Good luck and please keep us posted.
