oatmeal???

how much oatmeal would u feed 7 chickens daily?

I cook my oatmeal just to make sure the anti-nutritional factor assoc with (uncooked) it will not be a problem (altho if you feed just a bit along with a commercial feed I wouldn't worry too much about it as the commercial feed as added enymes and such to deal with anti-nutritional factors).
A cornell Univ. paper (don't have link to post for you at the moment) mentioned that (cooked) oatmeal is good for the digestion and uptake of calcium ... I add just enough to their normal daily portion of feed to make it all clump together (helps prevent wastage this way too!)

Try and reach in there and grab the bowl of oatmeal I dare you LOL

mine love it with applesauce, sliced canned peaches, cracked corn, scratch , some shredded chesse
I have tried giving it to the uncooked big mistake they were NOT happy chickens.
My ducks are not to crazy for it but they will eat a little once in awhile.

Mine got some oatmeal today. I cook it on the thick side and thin it out with non-fat unsweetened yogurt and top it off with their regular feed. Thet also got a half a pumpkin. I noticed that we still have six good sized pumpkins left and figured they should get eaten in the next month or so. I put their oatmeal treat in their old feeder from when they were chicks and just the sight of that red feeder makes them go crazy. They are jumping for it before I set it down.

I almost forgot they get about 2 cups cooked for 18 birds with some yogurt. It gets eaten in about 10 minutes. There has been a little feather picking and I figure the extra protein will help slow it down.

I cook between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup for six chickens. It seems to be just the right amount where they aren't frantic over it any more and seem to walk away happily with just the dregs left. I do add some yogurt or raisins once in awhile...on mornings I make pancakes they might get some blueberry's mixed in.

Mine love any kind of grain, scratch is good in the cold, lets them warm up. I bought steel cut oats, I didn't like them but the girls ate them like they were candy kisses. I believe dry uncooked is more natural for birds. I never thought to cook them.
