cooked/uncooked oatmeal is perfectly normal and fine to give them.

I get 50# bags of rolled oats (oatmeal) at the feed store...it is the fav of my ducks and geese...they do back flips for it just like green peas...

I give mine the uncooked old fashioned rolled oats every morning as scratch, they love it. As an added bonus, the oats make their egg yolks that beautiful dark orange color. Fresh greens will do that as well, but when those get scarce come winter, oats help you out and keep your egg customers happy.
