Oats and feed question

This is the first time keeping chicks and I was hoping that with a "clean" 1st time environment they would be able to avoid coccidiosis. Granted they can get it from everywhere, I was just curious if anyone has switched from medicated to non-medicated before...The TSC store I buy food from is out of medicated and I wasn't planning on traveling all over town to find more medicated feed....

I think other things carry coccidiosis too, not just chickens, so the environment still might have it. Our rabbits have tested positive for it and we were told by the vet that it's very common in wild rabbits which is probably how ours came across it (our buns live outside and get grass from the yard).
