How did you determine that "most of the military" did or did not respect a president? By "most of the military" do you mean that you surveyed enough people in the entire military population, or are you talking just about the people you knew personally? Would the latter constitute "most of the military"? Was data compiled over just the thirty year span to which you allude, or do you mean the entire 224 years' worth of US presidents? And how do you determine which president "hates America"?

Or is this just an attempt at justifying your own sentiment?

I'm only going to pipe in this one time- at least that is my intent. I'm by no means a political expert, nor do I follow politics and what is going on in the world as much as I should. However, here's my 2 cents: I truly think it doesn't matter who the president is, everyone blames him for everything that is going wrong in the country. It's been this way the entire 19 years I've been voting. And yes, I've been voting since I was 18. The President is only one man. If he were truly responsible for everything wrong with this country, I believe we would in a dictatorship type government. Do I agree with everything he has done, no. I honestly have been disappointed by every president we have had, in my voting history, to one extent or another. But you know what, it's not a job I would want. How in the world could one man please every American. I believe all of the government is responsible for what is going on, not just the President.

yomama is absolutely right. We have a saying, 'whoever wins the election, the Government always get is!' a little cynical perhaps? Aquaeyes you have a razor sharp mind and I hope one day you will either go into the law or politics. I love to read your contributions as you have an unswerving ability to tell it how it is. you can't back up an opinion with another persons opinion. No one is privy to the inner workings of the POTUS. Perhaps there was a rumored security plot around the hospital visit. Maybe there were just too many parties and the one honoring the military was cut from the list. We don't even know if the President was even the one to decide what parties he would attend (he's usually not!)

The first article is a "buy my book" spiel. No real facts there either. Just a continued spouting of "He is a Marxist. He is a socialist. He hates America"
 
You are right.

20 years listening to a racist pastor could have an effect on someone. Bill Ayers? Reverend Wright? if a white person did any of these things he would never hear the end of it.

Levin's article did state what Obama wanted to do, maybe it was to save a buck I do not know.

The posts that I put in here were more to show RHranch that everyone has an opinion and her's is no better than the next guy's.

I have never witnessed such division in our country over a POTUS in my life. Or had one wanting to do things that effect Americans so closely.

His ratings are at 41% now. Did you know gas was 1.79 a gallon when he took office?
