You are absolutely right, Q9. I am a little curious myself about Obama's second term. What's he going to do? It will be unrestricted and there's a good chance democrats will, once again, control congress. I think gun control is a dumb idea. You can pull the trigger on a 9mm the same speed you pull the trigger on an assault rifle. I'd much rather have the advantage of an assault rifle in a time of concern. I really think an issue like guns is too powerful for one man. I'm a pretty hard liberal but even I think the second amendment is great. You look at the "Arab Spring" in 2011 and think.. what if those people were Americans and had weapons? I don't think the government would have mowed them down in the streets.

I didn't see a link to any actual bill nor anything that looked like concrete evidence to support anything the article claimed. It all looks like opinion and conspiracy.
Naturally, that makes me believe this is a bunch of fretting, worrying and panicking, and a few people's opinions being blown far out of proportion.

The people cited have a significant dislike for Obama so it's not much of a stretch to imagine that they will say anything to get voters to vote against him. It's up to voters to actually look beyond the propaganda and at the actual candidates to determine who supports what. Sadly, few seem to take on the task and seem to prefer spoon fed messages of who to vote for.
I don't see members of Congress or the President as the smartest people in the country, but I highly doubt they are stupid enough to think they can just repeal any of the amendments of the Constitution, especially any of the first 10.
I don't particularly care for Obama's job in office, and I'm not impressed by anyone in the Republican field. I doubt there will be an actual good President for a long time, because too many people are focused on petty issues and supporting extremes to either side. Voter backlash against the parties is wild and getting out of control and it's going to lead to some terrible legislation, and more angry people pushing the pendulum further out of control.

I'm not keen on the talk of a mass riot or revolution within the US, because it will be ugly and may serve to enforce a 'police state' rather than prevent one. Cupman, I have to disagree with you on saying the government wouldn't mow down armed citizens in the street, because I think that very well would happen if an armed mob made it's way to the capitol.

Well during ww 2 we operated the army with are allies but does that mean they were in charge ? when we undertake an operation with N.A.T.O. then we do it together and congress can decide weather we should or not but do you think congress should decide on day to day operations ?

You have to go through congress when you want to invade or put troops into another country.
