Obsessed With The Walking Dead!!!!

You all need to realise that now Andrea is dead Michonne is my favouraite living character, that doesn't mean I cant think she isn't realistic. I love her but she's just not realistic.

I agree with you. No one in their right mind would think about walkers hiding people's scent right away, and no one really could become that skilled in a little over a year with a sword. I believe they suggested that those two she had with her were her relatives, so maybe they all stuck together for a while before they turned. I remember in the first season Rick and the group smeared zombie blood on them to hide their scent. I wonder if they had decided to experiment, they would have realized the same thing Michonne did. I would love to learn more about her past.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but its not a "obsession", its a character that I like to defend because she gets a lot of undeserved hate because small minded fans refuse to understand her choices. I know she's dead, I did watch the finale yano? and Michonne is a great character, Daryl on the other hand... well you can guess.

Don't worry you didn't burst anything and yes I can tell you like too defend her,but I think you are getting alittle too "defensive" for a character on the show, or maybe us small-minded people just don't understand! P.S were supposed to be talking about why we like the show"just saying " . I am done battling with you...

Please point out in my post were I said YOU were small minded? that's right, I didn't. If I was I would have made clear it was directed at you. And we have been talking about Michonne for the last couple of days, Andrea was only brought in to it once so there was no reason to defend her.

The Walking Dead returns Fall 2013.

;)

The Walking Dead's Props Master John Sanders talks about the strangest items he's found for the show and the new method of killing walkers that he's got in store for Season 4.

Q: As the guy in charge of all the props, what are some staples that bear your mark?

A: The new crossbow for Daryl -- I altered that one for the show. I took Norman [Reedus] to a bow range for him to shoot. I was kind of showing off with the guys there, and I was showing him some of the top-end crossbows. I let him shoot the Stryker 380, and once he shot that he had me take pictures of him and had me send them to the producers, and immediately it got in the works that we wanted him to have it. Michonne's sword I actually helped design between Season 2 and Season 3. I used some friends of mine at United Cutlery to help me. I knew it was a huge piece in the show, so I wanted to make something really iconic and add some elements that are really closer to my heart. The triple goddess and the trinity of life; those things are important to me in my life, and close to my wife.

Q: Do you find the actors getting attached to their character's weapons?

A: Andy [Lincoln] is very specific about the Python. He wants that gun on him every second of the day, when he can have it. He stays on set most of the time, so we pretty much let him walk around with that gun, and keep that in-character feel all day long. Norman always carries his knife all day long, same thing. And when he has the crossbow or the motorcycle, he likes to be in character, also. Michael Rooker when he died really wanted his bayonet prosthetic. Everybody wants a little memento, especially big character things, but we can't really let them go.

Q: There are certain situations where you use rubber guns and knives. Does that mean there are particular situations when you use real knives and real guns?

A: Whenever you see an actor by themselves, and they're going to be in a close-up and any kind of weapon is going to come close to them, they have the real thing. And then when we cut around to the back of them, or around to the side, based on the situation, we'll switch between those other weapons to keep the safety factor.

Q: What was the strangest thing you've found and used as a prop on The Walking Dead?

A: For the teapot that Milton used last season, I bought about 8 different teapots and then my assistant found this one that released tea from the bottom. It had this little stand, you put it over the top of teacups and you just press the button. I think we went through about 20 teapots before we found that one.

Q: In a video for AMC, you talk about character's prop bags. If you had to give yourself a "prop bag" to survive in the apocalypse, what would be in it?

A: Well, I've had this stainless steel Rolex that I bought when I first prop mastered a job in 1989. I bought this watch as a kind of a "You finally got here, kid" kind of thing. I have worn it on every set I've been on so that would certainly be in here. If I could get my wedding ring off, I would probably put that in there. And a pair of sunglasses, because I wear these Oakley sunglasses, I just love them. And of course, like everybody, my phone is my life in the film business, so that would certainly be in my prop bag. A picture of my wife, she'd probably be happy if I had that in there, too.

Q: What kind of weapons can fans look forward to in Season 4?

A: My favorite implement will be this season. I've been waiting for two years, trying to talk to Greg Nicotero about doing this to a walker, and he saw it this year and just jumped on it. I can't really tell you what it is, but I can tell you it's going to be the craziest thing on the show, yet. What I can say is that walkers are going to get killed in newer ways this year than any other year before.

Dispatches From the Set - Gale Anne Hurd (Executive Producer)

The Walking Dead Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd talks about Season 4's ravenous new walkers and which characters from the show would make great producers.

Q: Sports teams have a boot camp-like practice to get back in shape for the season. What do you do to get everyone back in the swing of things on the set of The Walking Dead?

A: We have to hit the ground running every season. We do have zombie school every year, so our walkers get up to speed. It's really more of a winnowing-out process -- that extras who are eager to become zombies come in and audition for Greg [Nicotero] and he selects the ones that are most unique and believable. But in general, this is our fourth season, and people are so eager to get back. After the first set-up this year, everyone applauded and cheered.

Q: Every year the walkers show us something new. What can fans expect from Season 4's walkers?

A: I think we'll have walkers who are even more ravenous than before. We're in a world where there are fewer people and more walkers, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw that on-screen this season.

Q: What's been one of the biggest challenges of producing a show like The Walking Dead?

A: We have serious weather issues to contend with. We had one day where there was a torrential downpour and a tree fell on the set, so you just have to roll with stuff like that. Other times, you realize that a character that you thought might live actually has to die.

Q: Is being Executive Producer of a show about a zombie apocalypse similar to surviving one in any way?
