Octagon 20 {{* It's HERE*}} Test Hatch??

Twiggy dear... close your eyes/ears.

Ok but seriously, I don't like messy things. So the whole egg carton thing is extremely appealing.

Can an egg carton fit in the brinsea octogon 20?? Two egg cartons?

Just curious...

Twigg??? Hello... ok you can open your eyes/ears now.

I Got it and it is actually HERE in my living room!!!!

Ok.. so my question is now... do I need to do a test hatch or is this machine so exceptional that I can just hatch away???

I am planning to order silkies from hattrick the first of April... should I wait and test some others out first???

Oh the waiting...

If I do a test hatch I will be further out on the silkies.

Am I impatient or what?.?.

BYC... Tell me what to do & do the happy dance with me PLEASE!!!!!

Yes.. What is the saying, 'know thyself'?

I know that if I build it myself or have to rely on ME reading the tempature on a thermomater, humidity, when to add water, etc... the chickies would NOT survive.

Not me being a snob... just practical!

Yes I had thought of buttons... I have inquired about them from a seller... not avaliable until april first as well. I should check to see if anyone has them here in florida!

My Octagon 20 Advance is supposed to arrive on Tuesday and so are my hatching eggs!!!
Can't wait to hear everyone's adventures with theirs as well.

Yes I am so glad that more people are buying brinsea! We will be able to compare.

Mediazeal Congratulations!!!! I was so excited I kept on checking the UPS tracking. I went nuts when it finally said that it was on the truck!

Whoo- Hoo!

I still don't know wether to do a test hatch or just to jump in???

Anyone hatchoholics have any advise???

I'm just jumping in.
I have no where to put 'test babies'
I ordered 24 eggs from Gabbard Farms

9 barnevelder eggs
6 welsummers
6 golden cuckoo marans
3 golden penciled hamburgs

have supplies for babies stuck in all corners of my house
coop being built out back
I'll fire it up while the eggs sit at room temp for 24 hours and then away we go.......

Wow Happy Chicken Mama
what do you have in all those coops? are you going to separate to breed them separately or you just need more and more room to put chicks with your/our hatching addiction?
