I had to move my incubator 15 mins away with it unplugged and they all survived. Depends what temp they were

I've seen my broody hens leave the nest at least an hour or so and chicks hatched just fine.. But this is a possible 6:30 hour lapse. No warmth left in the eggs. ='(

Some people say that there eggs felt freezing cold and yet they still hatched... keep them in there and see

Turned the eggs at 12 all was well. Decided to check them at 6:30 and found that someone unplugged them. The eggs were cold. Please tell me they can survive this. Nobody is owning up to unplugging my incubators... Can't say thst I blame them... I am so not happy.

I have heard of broodies being off a nest overnight and her eggs still hatched! I have had many eggs survive being ice cold, so they may be just fine.

Sorry I haven't been on here much this HAL. Kids are home for fall break which eats my time but it'll be cool for them to see the hatch. I am on day 18 or 19 I'm not sure. I set Friday night September 23rd. I have 35 eggs in lock down. I filled the 2 wells up with water and the humidity was great about 68%. When I woke up this morning it was 78% and condensation in there. I'm thinking internal pips? It's dropped a little since then but hopefully don't drown them.

Oh that is great for the kids to see the chicks hatch! I have never heard of fall break though. My kid is homeschooled so he is home all the time. He doesn't care much about the hatching but he does get excited about all the fluff butts in the brooder! A little too excited sometimes.

Batch#3 5 hatched so far out of 10...half way there. Upside-down chick alive but not well.
