October 2016 Hatch-A-Long!!

My special Serama eggs are not doing very well. :(

These were local and replacement eggs for the dozen that had only 3 develop and all three quit. This batch had five developing and now 3 of those have quit. It is quite disheartening. I really don't understand it. She did give me a little cockerel with the replacement eggs and I love him dearly so it has not all been a loss. Stil, it is hard to have all these eggs quit! I put the last two in my hatcher because it is still air and I that is the only thing I could think to do for them!

I would love for these last two to hatch but I do not feel very hopeful.

I do have some Silkie pips though, my eggs are on day 20!

OKAY, My Peeps are calling from the eggs. I see pipping going on...I have Dark Cornish crosses F3 and F2 hatching early tomorrow.

Dad is "Bob" a 50% Dark Cornish 50% Cornish X.

Update on my eggs in incubator:

Group #1: (4 out of 12 that were set) Getting bigger and darker inside, but I can still see movement inside when candling.

Group #2: Out of 10 eggs set, 8 look like they are starting to get those spider vein things in them.

Blue baby Australorps on the way!

Aww, how far along were they when they quit? Good luck with the last two and with the little ones who are hatching!

Cant wait to see some pics! Hope the hatch goes well! (I think ours are both meant to hatch on same day. Mine is Day 9. You are the same right?)
