October Chicks...Longer till laying?

Just wanted to update on my October babies... my d'uccle girl that was hatched Oct 23rd just laid her first egg today! So proud and happy for her.

Congrats one of mine layed her first egg last friday, but she lays late in evening about 6 or 7 since time changed, maybe soon her sisters will start laying so far i goten 4 eggs from her yay!!

My October girl just gave her first egg two weeks ago.but my other two oct girls haven't even started squatting yet. All the same breed. Silkies. I guess it just depends on when their body is ready. The other two I have have red combs and they have gotten redder so I hope it won't be too long. The one that laid has a black or mulberry comb and it really darkened before she laid so I am hoping it won't be much longer for my other two.
