OCTOBER EGG SWAP Is closed!!!!!! . . . . . . Addresses are out!!

I have EE's and production reds of my own in one bator and the Maran eggs in the other. I just got some sizzle eggs in the mail and I have more EE and production reds of mine to add with them. I have some project eggs that I have yet to get a fertile one from. They are polish/silkie mix hen with sizzle roo. They are both white with the black gene. I also had a frizzle hen in with them but none where fertile. So I moved them to the silkie pen where I have a black splash young roo that has been crowing for a few weeks now. Hopefully he will figure out what to do and give me some fertile eggs.

I know the sizzle was breeding the polish mix because her back was dirty and just on her back. It's not like she was rolling in the dirt. More like foot prints. But that roo has never crowed

My little chick I got last month is doing well. It's a buff color and so small. The cutest little thing with wings to not be a quail.

She (?) is outside in the chicken grow pen with the others. The others are standard and large size so she lookes like a midget compared to them. I have a lavender and a black with the lavender gene orphington cockerels, 2 production red and one of those crossed with Ameracauna and the other silkie. The one mixed with silkie is solid black from beak to toe. It is just beautiful, then I have 2 EE X silkie's that look like lavender to me. Then there are 2 more PR X Ameracauna chicks that are a mixture of dark colors. They are all just beautiful chicks.

and sent you Frede's eggs, I normally pull hers and hatch them myself, My husband Loves Her LOL
My bantam flock had better be in order next year cause at this rate my Red flock wont be "pure" seein as I will probably have several of Frede's babies in there too.

BTW Lotsapaints (or anyelse who knows)
Where do you get your bands and at what age do you band them? My Husband and I were talking about that the other day in regards to our Red Flock and having to keep track of who was who age wise.
Thanks!

I received my eggs today! Can't wait to put them in my bator. Looks like 4 Partridge silkies and 4 MFC's (which I am assuming is Millie Fleur Cochin). They will be joining some Buff Laced Polish eggs.

I bought them from Foy's Pigeon Supply best prices for small amounts but you can get them from Smith's or Cutler's too. I do a color for the year and then it looks like I'm going to end up with the aluminum bands for the keepers.
