My regular mail lady knows to leave packages on the back porch.

It also says the date they tried to deliver it was the 19th! Why did they keep it over the weekend if it was there on the 16th? I hope they were really fresh when shipped or they wont be any good now.

They should still be good, they should still be less than 2 weeks old, probably way less than that. That's weird that it says they were delivered on Friday, but you didn't receive anything until yesterday? Maybe they tried to deliver it to the wrong address?
At least you know they've settled plenty, just let them warm up and they should be good to go!

ETA: The package only took 2 days to get to you, so if the eggs were 2-3 days old when they left (average), that would make them about 7-9 days old now, still plenty viable

SillyStunt,

Yours arrived. I think they're yours.

One got a bit of a dent in it from being in the corner, but the rest are perfect. They're beautiful eggs. Are they duck eggs? They seem kind of waxy like our duck eggs. We're so excited to see what hatches!

Dang! A dent? URGHHHHHHH I sent ya 9 cause i just couldn't fit anymore in the box. They are duck eggs! I have an American Black drake and he runs with my buffhen, my sweedish hen and my pekin hen! Should be a interesting hatch. The smallest ones are from the sweedish, med from buff and the larger from the Pekin.

Here are the sweedish and buff

and the drake before he moulted and grew up to be the stud he is!

They're going to be adorable! We've got three pekin hens right now and a runner mix we're not sure yet if it's a hen or drake. We love ducks! Our kids keep wanting to put duck diapers on them and let them run around in the house. We haven't done that yet.

The box wasn't dented, I think it probably just got knocked a bit right there. It didn't leak or anything, just dented in. Eight out of nine is good for shipped eggs, especially how some are handled!

We love mystery mixes to see how they come out. It's like Christmas!
