The swaps are a good way to try different breeds without spending a fortune only to find out you don't like that breed. And if you do like it you know right where to buy more when you are ready.

Birds are on the fritz, and I think I might just take a hatching hiatus till spring (hubby will be glad to not have baby brooders and incubators all over the house!)

I might be in for a November swap. Our girls are still laying an egg a day each except for once in a while if the weather changes too rapidly, then they might skip a day.
