Chirping
Hubby is on the big computer so I'll upload some photos later.
Today's hatch started last night and finished a few hours ago. I've moved babies to the brooder and another set of eggs is in the hatcher...two pheasant in that bunch.
The hatch includes a few Cochin, Columbian Wyandotte and one tiny Serama.
On the Serama, I purposefully left the egg in the incubator in a tiny egg cup next to the motor to the turner. It was a totally dry hatch...first chick to hatch in 10 incubations. The chicks would be alive going in to lockdown and then die. I suspected it was the difference in the temperatures in the incubator and the hatcher. Not moving the egg was an experiment that worked.
Congrats on what sounds like a successful hatch, can't wait see the pics.
The clip that connects the Turner to motor had been knocked loose at some point. After I moved eggs to another incubator and started fiddling with it the cord just came completely out, it's back running fine now.
