My Russian orloff chicken (10ish months old) just presented with a misshapen pupil on the right eye. Seems to still have sight. No other symptoms and is healthy weight, no mobility issues, normal poop, laying small but otherwise normal eggs (still laying fairy eggs).

No others have any other symptoms but most were mareks vaccinated. She, I don’t know about. All are hatchery stock but my others came from a hatchery that vaccinated.

She did get attacked by a hawk 2-3 days ago and got away unscathed so not sure if it’s trauma related or stress induced ocular mareks.

Here are photos I got today.

Normal left (panting from me chasing/catching her):

Hopefully not but guess we’ll see how she progresses.

After the holidays I may see how she’s doing and if not showing any improvement (like would be assumed if from injury) then I’ll call the state vet and see if can send her in for testing should we cull. Unfortunately I live in an area with a lot of people’s poorly cared for free range chickens/many wild birds going between properties so even if I culled my flock to start again it probably wouldn’t eliminate marek’s in the future...

Are you positive she only got this after the attack?
I've heard about a condition 'blown eye' that looks similar. They would have it from birth though I think!?! But oftentimes we notice things upon closer inspection, say after an attack. Just a thought.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if there has been an injury in the past or if it is Mareks. That picture does not scream Mareks to me. The pictures of ocular Mareks that most of us ar pe familiar with are of a pinpoint pupil, an irrgular shaped pupil with a grey eye. Here are some pictures of suspected Mareks:
